The year was 1994, the US sends forces to the Persian Gulf, Nixon dies, the skater Nancy Kerrigan is Chris Breezied, and major league baseball players go on strike. It definitely was not the greatest year, but there was a song that used the sample of the song "Love TKO" by Teddy Pendergrass. The song was from the artist Ahmad called "Back In the Day" who was only 18 years old when the track was released. Because of the song's captivating and luscious hook it eventually got as high as #19 on the US R&B charts.
